**Preamble**
ThisTransfer Statement addresses the requirement for USST BMAM studentstransferring to UFV after two years of study at USST. In addition to therequirements described below, all USST students will need to meet UFV’s EnglishProficiency Requirements and have an accumulated GPA of 2.5.
UFV’s English language requirements for study inacademic programs are as follows: IELTS – overall score of 6.5 with a minimum band score of 6.0 TOEFL - score of 88 (iBT)
Studentswhose language proficiency score is less than that specified above will berequired to take one full term of English upgrading, providing the applicanthas a minimum language score as follows: IELTS – overall score of 6.0 with a minimum band score of 5.5 TOEFL - score of 79 (iBT)
**T****he Model**
Studentscoming from USST’s BMAM program can complete UFV’s courses required to earn a BSCdegree with a Math major at UFV.Dependingon courses each student selects to study at UFV, s/he may complete theirundergraduate education with two degrees – one from UFV and one from USST -- **provided they meet the requirements of bothinstitutions.**
**Completion of UFV’s Requirements fora BSc Mathematics Major Degree**
USST students who wish to continue their studies at UFV to meet UFV’s BScMathematics Major degree requirements will need to make formal application to UFV’s BSc MathematicsMajor Degree in order to be formally admitted to the degree program. The degreepathway for USST’s BMAM students who elect to complete a BSc Math degree at UFVwill be as follows:
**Prerequisites **
USST studentscoming to study at UFV in Math are admitted to study at the 3^{rd} yearlevel providing they have completed the requirements of USST’s Fundamental(Science/Math) Curriculum (54 USST credits) and 6 additional credits fromUSST’s “General Curriculum”.
Within those 60credits, USST students are required to have successfully completed thefollowing USST courses from the Fundamental Curriculum:

**UFV Degree Pathway**
Students should have enough USST transfer courses to provide for 60transfer credits as indicated above. Students will have to take the followingcourses to complete the BSc Mathematics Major from UFV:

Students may use PHYS 381 as part of the thirty upper level credits;however, PHYS 381 cannot be used to satisfy the requirements of a math programas well as the requirements of a physics program.
**PLEASE NOTE:**
That allstudents **must** satisfy UFV’s“residency requirement” by taking at least 30 credits from UFV toreceive a UFV degree. That inorder to qualify for a UFV degree Major, at least 15 upper level credits in thediscipline of the Major must be completed at UFV. That USSTstudents who apply to UFV who do not have the transfer credit package asoutlined above will not be accepted under this agreement and their applicationswill be assessed on an individual basis in order to determine if they will beadmitted to UFV and what transfer credit they may be assigned.
