报告人简介:贺劲松现为宁波大学教授。先后在澳大利亚、印度、巴西、意大利和英国等国家的世界著名学府进行过学术访问。在孤子方程的Darboux变换、怪波等方面有系统的工作。



AbsractWe consider a two-level atomic system interacting with an electromagnetic field controlled in amplitude andfrequency by a high intensity laser. We show that the amplitude of the induced electric field admits an envelopeprofile corresponding to a breather soliton. We demonstrate that this soliton can propagate with any frequencyshift with respect to that of the control laser, except a critical frequency, at which the system undergoes a structuraldiscontinuity that transforms the breather in a rogue wave. A mechanism of generation of rogue waves by meansof an intense laser field is thus revealed. In this talk, we shall also provide similar work on an optical system governed by the NLS equation.
