Preamble
The Transfer Statement addresses the requirement forUSST BAC students transferring to UFV after two years of study at USST. Inaddition to the requirements described below, all USST students will need tomeet UFV’s English Proficiency Requirements and have an accumulated GPA of 2.5(75%).
UFV’s English language requirements for study inacademic programs are as follows:
IELTS – overall score of 6.5with a minimum band score of 6.0
TOEFL - score of 88 (iBT)
Studentswhose language proficiency score is less than that specified above will berequired to take one full term of English upgrading providing the applicant hasa minimum language score as follows:
IELTS – overall score of 6.0with a minimum band score of 5.5
TOEFL - score of 79 (iBT)
The Model
Students coming from USST’s BAC program to study inUFV’s BSC program courses will have two options:
Study in UFV’s 3rd and 4th year BSC courses designated by USST to meet their degree requirements to enable students to transfer articulated courses back to USST to satisfy USST’s requirements for graduation in BAC at USST.
Visiting USST students may also elect to complete all of UFV’s courses required to complete a BSC degree at UFV.Students who elect Option 2 (as well as Option 1) will complete their undergraduate education with two degrees, provided they meet the requirements of both institutions.
Option 1 - Credit Transfer to USST
USST students coming tostudy at UFV in Chemistry are admitted to study at the 3rd year levelproviding they have completed the requirements of USST’s Fundamental (Science)Curriculum (54 USST credits) and 6 additional credits from USST’s “GeneralCurriculum”. Within those 60 credits, USST students are required to havesuccessfully completed the following USST courses from the FundamentalCurriculum:

Option 2 --Completion of UFV’s Requirements for a BSC Degree
USST students who wish tocontinue their studies at UFV to meet UFV’s BSC degree requirements will berequired to take the following UFV courses as part of their program withintheir first two terms of study at UFV:
USST students electing this option will need to makeformal application to UFV’s BSC Degree in order to be formally admitted to thedegree program.
Students who received transfer credit under thisagreement will have to complete the following courses to receive the UFVBachelor of Science Degree with a Chemistry Major:
