Preamble
The Transfer Statement addresses the requirements for USST BAP studentstransferring to UFV after two years of study at USST. In addition to therequirements described below, all USST students will need to meet UFV’s EnglishProficiency Requirements and have an accumulated GPA of 2.5 (75%).
UFV’s English language requirements for study in academic programs areas follows:
IELTS – overall score of 6.5 with aminimum band score of 6.0
TOEFL- score of 88(iBT)
Students whoselanguage proficiency score is less than that specified above will be requiredto take one full term of English upgrading providing the applicant has aminimum language score as follows:
IELTS – overall score of 6.0 with aminimum band score of 5.5
TOEFL- score of 79(iBT)
The Model
Students coming from USST’s BAP program can complete UFV’s courses required to earn aBScdegree with a major in Physics at UFV.Depending on courses each student selects tostudy at UFV, s/he may complete their undergraduate education with two degrees– one from UFV and one from USST -- providedthey meet the requirements of both institutions.
Completion of UFV’s Requirements for a BSc (PhysicsMajor) Degree
USST students who wishto continue their studies at UFV to meet UFV’s BSc in Physics Major degree requirements will need to make formal application to UFV’s BScPhysics Major Degree in order to be formally admitted to the degree program. The degree pathway for USST’s BAP students who elect to complete a BSc Physicsdegree at UFV will be as follows:
USST students coming to study at UFV in Physics are admitted to study at the 3rd year level providing they have completed the requirements of USST’s Fundamental (Science) Curriculum (54 USST credits) and 6 additional credits from USST’s “General Curriculum”.
Within those 60 credits, USST students are required to have successfully completed the following USST courses from the Fundamental Curriculum:
Methods of Mathematical Physics A - 22001350
Theoretical Mechanics - 22000370
Higher Mathematics - 22000210 & 22000220

NOTE: The calendar shall be taken as the final arbiterin the case of a difference with this list
PLEASE NOTE:
That all students must satisfy UFV’s “residency requirement” by taking at least 30 credits from UFV to receive a UFV degree.
That in order to qualify for a UFV degree Major, at least 15 upper level credits in the discipline of the Major must be completed at UFV.
That USST students who apply to UFV who do not have the transfer credit package as outlined above will not be accepted under this agreement and their applications will be assessed on an individual basis in order to determine if they will be admitted to UFV and what transfer credit they may be assigned.
